SUGAR AND SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE

We have been so busy with sick duckies and building businesses that I haven't had time to post about my little princess turning the big 4!


She did it without a hitch and is now officially a "big girl who sleeps in her room"! At least until around 3am when I am woken up by a little soft whimper of "Milkie" as she crawls in on my side of the bed.


I will never say no and I love it!

She is had a big day on Saturday and then a big night.


Tatum we LOVE you all way to the end of the stars and back again.


Four years goes fast when you look back on it and it was four years ago my life was colored pink.

i am overwhelmed with work

we are setting up the store tomorrow and i have to price and collect all the work so far to sale

it makes me a tad bit nervous

i took some pixs of the kids in the MOST amazing lighting the other day outside in the front yard

it was around 5pm yesterday

i used a flash and natural lighting

it really picked up the color of their hair and all of their beautiful eyes--

Cyn and I have taken the jump!  We are offically opening a booth / store at the new PUBLIC MARKET down in Turkey Creek!!!  We paint tomorrow and move in on Thursday!

Tatum's Watercolor Project We did together

Jack rode the bus home for the first time today!  He was so cute--I could see him smiling outside through the window.  He knew he was home :-) LOVE this kiddo...he is AMAZING!  Apparently didn't smile for his school pix but non the less AMAZING!

He smiles for me!  I should do his school pix :-)

Logan however said he DID! Smile that is...can't wait to see their pix's this time is so priceless and goes so quick.  Logan is in kindergarten and I keep saying he is four..."I'm 5 mom!" he certainly is not a "shy" kid-

Tatum has laid out of school all week and we are wondering if she is going back.  She keeps saying "never" so I am not sure what the future holds.  We went yard selling and shopping today, I think she thinks all days will be like this with mommy...I like having one on one time with her , so making her goseems strange...I do "stay home" so "making" her GO seems silly.  And not to mention we are paying for it!

Matt is still teaching himself the guitar and cooking like Julia Childs every night, I am working on stress management techniques such as knitting and deep breaths.  My physical trainer said I need to approach some things maybe from a different angel...I agree.  I am going to take up yoga next month and get back to weight training--though it makes me nervous, I don't want to make this neck issue any worse...it's miserable when it flares up!

Singing in the Rain

Hello Tropical Storm LEE.

It's raining lemon drops here and has been for 8 hours!  The weather forecast is more of the same for the rest of the day.

Yesterday when the rain started the ducks found a way to "play in the rain".

We were all for it until we turned around and Logan and Tatum where naked.

What beauties, what simple happiness--playing in the rain, mud baths and smiles....you can't get any better!

this week was filled with school.  the anderson's made it!  first full week with all ducks in a classroom!

they did great!

they played!

they made projects! 

they ate with friends!

and read books!
