LONGING FOR

SPRING IS TEASING US HERE IN THE SOUTH
it keeps opening and closing its eyes
the sun is out
the rain falls
the wind is warm
the wind comes cold
last night we built a fire to stay warm
today i am in a sweater and uggs
i wanted to plant some flowers today

somehow the inspiration has left me
the birds are singing, but my bones are cold, my mind is full and closing down
every year when spring comes i find a lightness that pushes me into a higher version of my self
every spring i find my self waiting to see me step up a notch and exceed my current limits
i look forward to the boost
i know it will come
when spring
comes
and
sits
on
my skin
long enough
to
seep
down
to my
soul

holy mother of cow.....i just upgraded my computer to a whopping imac 27 inch widescreen .... i feel like i just got off the rocket ship to mars!  it's crazy!!!!!


 I will let you know if I meet any aliens!!!

This weekend was so busy that I didn't get to post a very special BDAY to my

SUPERMAN.

  I love you tons and hope you know I couldn't live a day without all that you are and all that you do!  Hope your "Birthday Weekend"  was fun for you!  I know the kids and I had a blast!   For those that didn't know the plan we started off "surprising" him with the kids present....Chucky Cheese!  for three hours...pizza and games....little did I know they serve BEER!!!!! who knew!

Then we celebrated that night with family and ate and drank ourselves in birthday bliss.  If anything Matt can do is have a good time!  Thanks babe for being so much fun:)

The Anderson Crazies

Matt and I were having wine tonight and cooking. Imagine that!

 I bought wings last night at Sam's and was hoping to grill them tonight on the grill.  Mother nature had other plans and the rain brought us indoors and to the stove.  We decided to put another spice combo on them and bake them.  CUMIN.  

I realized that cumin is something that really makes me melt.

 I LOVE the aroma. It really does something to my nose that not many spices can do.

 When I was pregnant with Logan I learned to LOVE CURRY.  I hated it until I was shopping at the farmers market in LA and found myself craving Curry Puffs at a stand called the "banana boat"--I ate them day after day until I became a "puff" myself and then out came Logan.

Logan is SO CURRY!

Jack is SO CILANTRO!


Tatum is SO SWEET!

I couldn't  stand the taste of Cilantro until Jack came along, and now I LOVE IT!

Until Miss Tatum came along I never craved SWEETS.

 AND now I have have something SWEET at least once a every 2 days!

FOOD is a big part of my everyday life.

We cook like a resturant and love to eat and find new foods to make on a daily bases.   I have recently given the kitchen over to Matt so he can cook, A. because he rocks! and B. because I really would be doing something else.   I LOVE to cook, but it's not my time.  I LOVE to do other things right now, paint, go through my pixs etc.  I have so little time to my self that I really have to pick and choose what I do.  I choose to NOT cook.

I will however, LOVE to eat .....good foods and foods made from PASSION, which Matt does! (thanks honey for all the meals!)

I guess the point is ....I LOVE Cumin.  It made me happy tonight.  The smell.  I love to see Matt cooking in the kitchen after a long day, even though it it CRAZY in the house..we are all getting tired.....I love the smell and the antispation of what is on the way!  Until then....I am in my studio doing what I can to create---something ---that has been brewing in my vision all day long..... .

Cook. Eat. Create.

Life is good.

The rain has fallen and the sky is clear.  At least for the moment.

I hear thunderstorms are possible.  I love weather.  If you haven't already figured that out. I love the surprise of it.  You just never know around here what is to come.

The days have been full of days......matt has been out of town and I have been with the kids working and playing and doing.......I am ready for that break I have mentioned....NYC......it's coming....soon.....my camera and I are going on an adventure....I can't wait!  Until....I will keep shooting.....and cleaning....and playing.....and drawing.....I am in progress with many new projects....enjoying the process....daydreaming of a new studio......ONE DAY....I plan on building my own studio out in my back yard!  I can't wait....
ONE DAY!  Until....I will keep doing what I DO........

Spring of Change

Life is busy.

Life is always busy.

I often catch myself these days when I start to "complain" about how "busy" it can get.

It's the "American way".

If it wasn't busy I'd complain that it wasn't busy.

It's like when the weather is hot you want it cold, and when it's cold you want it hot.

I have learned, it's one of my newest achievements, to look at the moment given to me and take it in. Breathe it in if you will.

Our kids are changing SO fast.

I take ALOT of pictures. And going through them I am shocked at what a year can do. Everything-- hair, eyes, smiles-- everything has shifted.

Everything is just a little more in focus. A little more clear who they are "becoming"

They stay busy.

Like life.

So they haven't a clue how much they change.

I do.






My camera does.  Everyday.  Week.  Month.  Year.

Busy is good.

So I stay busy taking pictures and they stay busy growing.

Life is busy.

But if it wasn't i guess we wouldn't be alive.


So I have decided busy is good.

It makes me feel ALIVE!
