Tomorrow is the last of Janurary 2011....that went FAST!
Feb is here and I have more LOVE to share!

I will spare you that until the actual LOVE month starts....so I thought I would at least post some pics of the kids and our day out at the park and pizza.....we had a "spring" of a time....the temp was way up in the 50's today and we all were diffently needing some time in the sun and some open space. Winter has been breathing down our throats for weeks.......winter in TN has been WINTER to say the least.
If you watch the weather channel at all, you should be wondering one of the three:
Gobal warming
The end of the world
Or just a day in time?

Hope everyones first month of 2011 as FUN and full of LIFE!

I LOVE...

Feburary is right around the corner and LOVE is in the air.

I thought it would be fun to post some things that you may not know I LOVE.....

Obviously,if you've ever seen my blog--- I love my husband, kids, family and friends so I thought I would focus on personal things that I may not have shared with those that haven't known me MOST of my life....so those who have, maybe I will surprise you on something...you can't notice or listen to everything I say or do!:)

First LOVE:

Rooms with natural sunlight.

I love to sit in a room with no "artifical lighting" just the sun light lighting my way ....the color of soft blue that it makes against the furniture and walls here at my house is very calming and beautiful. I feel what I think the french must feel while sitting somewhere in France drinking wine without a care in the world.

Logan Steps it Up a Notch

Three post's in ONE DAY....the gods are planning something BIG!!!

I had to post Logan's new DO!!!!!! He's the next Justin Beiber (however you spell his last name, don't have time to look it up. If my mom knows who he is, and she DOES, everyone else should too.)

I've always said, "they should make a doll out of you Logan Horse!"

he did soooooooooooooo good getting his first hair shampoo and "salon" cut!!

Working the system

I don't often get a chance to post more than once a day. But I could so I will and I am not ashamed!
I smile at you knowing that you surely understand.
Today was one of those "kid" days where I felt more like a servant than a mother, wife, daughter, friend, or stranger to the girl next to me in my car. I
seemed to find myself "doing" what ever was requested, request after request. It's no one's fault, it just is.......one of those days.

The snow is coming in again and I find myself laughing at myself when I thought of a great idea! A cold drink and a cheat!

I never get caught up in a "Yahoo" headline, but today I thought the title was worth checking out.
It read, "Mysterious Lost Pictures of New York Blizzard".
My curiosity peeked and I clicked.

Instead of an article I found a You Tube video of a guy who found a role of film in the middle of Prospect Park packed with tons of snow. Check it out! It's worth the five minutes to watch it. It's beautifully haunting and will stick in your head the rest of the day. VERY COOL

"Follow your Bliss"

I have diffently spoiled my little ones in thinking that anytime I paint, they paint.
They are getting quite good at it despite their age, and we diffently have ALOT of fun mixing paint colors and working on "flower's and bubble bees".....I love it.....in all it's shapes and forms....I keep trying to find something else to focus on, law school, teaching, but I keep coming back to my studio...Bliss.....oh! would if Joseph Campbell had never uttered those famous words..." Follow your Bliss"
what would the starving artist's of our time do?

hi to all
it's been a busy week and i haven't had much to say...i guess in terms of "blogging" it's a day in january. matt says we should have a "what the fuclclclck are we looking forward to" party...i am starting to agree...after the holiday's it is hard to find inspiration...coming down off the "holiday party cloud" is hard...it's like coming down on off of the "i just got married cloud"! That cloud is high and beautiful....not much compares...except..."i just had a baby cloud!" (the best cloud I have EVER experienced). Anyway, I hope all is having a good january etc.......
we are working on transferring Jack to a new school and working on fixing or garage door. other than that....just working and contemplating life and all it's glory...the kids are doing great and matt and i are as well.......it's an "ordinary miracle" here at the Anderson house.........creating, laughing and clean up all the "little BIG messes."

Matt just made the best grilled chicken ever! gotta run.....

Swirling Along

It stopped snowing.
I think.
The sun has cut it's way through the clouds and the birds are daring to walk a little closer to the back deck for some yummy breakfast the kids and I put out for them.
Ahhh the birds...they remind me that we are all but living on this planet. So many of "US" ........the amount of beings on this planet overwhelm me and I decide at this moment not to go into that tunnel of exploration.
I am not in the mood to "pontificate".

I'd rather eat my peanut butter sandwich in simple ignorant bliss. Along with a gulp of skim milk.
I have officially lost three pounds since the holidays....I only have 25 more to go!!!! Lord help me....ten days without cheese and I am starting to think anything green is as good as gourmet......
classical music, painting and my camera are keeping me busy...along with the three amigo's.....life in January is busy and mindful....on what I put in my mouth!

FUN IN THE SNOW STORM of 2011!

At 3pm today we set out for a wonderland adventure.

It only took Matt and I thrity minutes to suit them up and get them ready for the cold.

We found ourselves on a wonderland walk around the neighborhood.....Boone had a BALL...not to mention everyone else!

By the end Matt and I just needed a Drink!

WINTER WONDERLAND AT RICHLAND COLONY

The whole Anderson family is hangin' around watching the snow fall and enjoy making a COMPLETE mess in the house and really not giving a shit. Now we're going to build a fire and roast marshmellows!!!!!
For those of u who have it too...enjoy.....for the others....have a nice day at work!:)

HAPPY WINTER

I love this weather. It calms me and everything around me down. When snow is falling there seems to be a collective silence.

As if words were sucked right out of mouth and all I can do is See.

I tried to get some pixs but my camera, rather my lens I hope, was acting up. This one turned out rather nice. It looks like a flock of feathers Moliere would have died for!

Back to NORMAL.

It was a nice day....hanging out with the kids and just doing...anything that happen to come to mind...it was relaxing and nice to be alone.

Now it's time to clean. Get some ideas into play. My studio is a mess. But I did manage to finish a little something.

Just getting back is nice. Just doddling and making something come out of something is nice. Real nice. (how many times can I say nice!?)

Side note: if anyone is interested ...Ingrid Michaelson is an AWESOME musician. Check her out! I love her!

Good Times

Life.
It makes you cry.
Even though it's happy times, saddness seeps in when the happy ends.
Holiday's are like that.
Family and friends gather, times are spent humming tunes of the cheer
and having fun watching little ones experience it all over again--- as if for the very first time.

Life. It makes us cry.
When good times end.
When day's turn back into the "day's of ordinary".
Humming drumming along, paying bills, buying grocery's and getting up for school.

Life. I started to cry when my mother - n- law looked back on her way out the door.
A smile on her pretty face.
Heading back to Tx.
Back to her life.
Not ours.
(she said)
"I love you Steph, see you next time."

I closed the door.

I cried.
Full of knowing.
Knowing that it was the end of our holiday.
An end of a chapter of the book
Of the the journey
We call life.

Turning pages.

2010 --done.

2011-- open.

Open to be a year of ......?
Open to go all the way to December again.

Back to the holidays.
Back to crying. Smiling inside. Crying on outside.

Knowing.

It's all in the knowing.
Knowing that life is full of happy tears!
