It has been a day.
I feel lost in thoughts---some sad, some wondering, some excited.
I have been up and down like a pogo stick.
Crying, laughing, trying to keep my cool.
Sun hot
Sky turning gray
Wondering if the rain will fall
I have been lost in thought today
Thinking of dear Cecilia, the sand, the future
I am wondering today
What will come
What type of weather
Human life is so fragile
Sand is full of stars
I feel excited today
The sea is pushing itself closer to my skin
The smiles around me are full and bright
I feel full of all kinds of emotions at this time
Before I fall asleep
Wonder what my dreams will bring

Route 67
Dad's ....AKA..... POP's Bday was the July 27th.
We had a little party for him, Lobsters and all. The kids are ALWAYS UP for a party! The lobster was YUMMY and Tatum ate her weight in it! I think everyone had to share with her, not including the pound of crab legs she devoured! She has hired her own one next time!! She LOVE seafood!! A true Tipton! Logan kinda likes it and YES, Jack could give a shit. He did eat popcorn that evening which was a total success in my book!
Good times and good food--like always!:)

Self Portrait at the End of July
Sitting
Still
Waiting
for
Leaves to feel the air of Autum
Summer is Long
Summer is streching it's long arms around me
Hugging me tight
Air still
Like a painting on a wall
Like a painting on a wall
Holding it's beauty of green dry grass until the next rain
I find a pencil
I sketch
I see myself
![]() |
Giddy from the heat
Smiling
Finding something to sweat about
Fondling the ground
I look up
Close my eyes to the suns bright eye looking down
Knowing in time
this too will pass
Summer to Fall
Fall to Winter
Winter to Spring
Summer
Repeat
Repeat
until the end of
Time
or until I
Blink
Away

sand castles here we come
It been a long Friday to say the least. It's hot, as if you haven't notices! and it's a tad bit crazy here at the Anderson house. No one wants to go outside! No one wants to do anything but yell out, "MOMMY" every 5mins. I have grown some what accustom to the word and the level of screech but there ARE days when it gets to me.
Tonight, Friday night, Matt is out of town. So I am feeling a little more of the brunt than usual. He is visiting with very dear friends in Houston and I am very HAPPY he is, BUT i am human and I am LOVING this somewhat quite (the wii is playing in the background) moment. At least I can post a moment or two before I get the kids off to bed. Logan and Tatum are reading books up in their room. Jack is playing a game and I am shortly going to put him in his room as well. Going to have to get back on the "school" sleeping schedule soon.
NOT BEFORE WE GO TO THE BEACH!!!
That's right we are all packing the "OLIVE" our big, white wonderful mini-van and heading for Savannah, SC with my mom and dad and cyn. We were hoping the Chicago Hassels could come as well, but it was such short notice. We just decide about a week ago to get these kids to the beach that it's too hard for them to get away....too bad...would have been really fun to take everyone!
Well, ce la vie, the beach it is and here we come! OH MY! We are staying in a rental house with 5 big screen TV's and 4 bedrooms and a front porch and surely lots of things to do! Can't wait to see the kids faces when the see the OCEAN for the first time! It's going to be a camera moment for sure!!!

The Anderson ducks got their trampoline back! Thanks to the "killer" storm a month ago it took it away. We finally got it replaced and put up for the most part. Matt skipped town for business so the padding isn't on. We also didn't have the directions so we put it up backwards and the padding is going to be nothing but a bitch to put on anyway.
This is obviously the beginning of the two hours it took but non the less it's up and jumping. It's pretty much what we had but a little more bouncy. Logan already busted his lip on it. He hit Matt's knee on the way down and smash--blood everywhere! The first real accident on the damn thing so we can't be too freaked out and he is OK. No broken nose, which we were worried about.
He's such BOY. He will try anything once. He's going to be the "one" who will come home and say," mom, do you have an ice pack" from what? only the future knows but he has needed an ice pack for his face three times in the past 4 months. Maybe he will be a boxer :-)
Changing the subject--Can anyone say HOT!
It's so balmy and repressive outside right now. I tried to mow the lawn and only last three feet. The grass is so high the mower stopped and I was dripping with sweat. It's not worth it. I grabbed a cold beer and came inside to blog. The kids are playing in the other room with no "problems" and Matt is stuck in Atlanta waiting to catch the next flight home, which won't land til midnight. He got stuck in a storm somewhere up north in Philly. Traveling sucks, I feel for him. Three hours in an airport is three hours too much for me!
It's so HOT here in Ktown. I know everyone is dealing with the heat (i do watch the weather channel at least 4 mins on the hour of every hour) so I won't do too much bitching....but damn! i need a vodka lemonde please!
The kids always seem to find something to do. I myself am doing too. We are pretty much inside because of the heat and are finding that our air conditioning unit can't quite keep up. It's not as cool in here as we'd like...thanks GLOBAL WARMING. This is a topic I am trying to avoid due to various options but probably will not eventually. I will 'warm" up to discussion and find ways of sharing my thoughts.
More flowers from my collection. Pretty aren't they?
Stay cool.

This is how he is feeling right now as he finds a hole to eat, drink and write lyrics.

What Nature Gives is Amazing
| such a quiet beauty |
I saw this flower on the side of the road and slammed on my brakes. I was taken by it's colors and how it was just sitting there waiting for someone to notice. It was beautiful swaying in a slight breeze on an early Saturday morning.
I take a lot of pictures of flowers and this is one of my favorites. I think it's the color combo that has captured my senses.....I'm not sure if I would have ever put these colors together until now.
Smell a flower today or buy one and stick somewhere you sit everyday....it will brighten you up and calm your heart. Life is all over--everywhere you look.
