I am going to start a "I hate Mondays" club!
Woke up to rain, which I love. Sat at the window and drank my coffee and watched fall for an hour, which I love and then..................this and that and that and this, the tv blasting the crying starts over which show is going to play for the 100th time, the phone rings, the ink pen leaks all over my hands, Boone is laying on Tatum's blanket, which IS NOT cool, all kids want food and drink at the exact time, I have to make some phone calls, the Wii remote doesn't want to work, (it's bran new!) the rain stopped and now everything is just wet, and I haven't showered and it looks like it caused I worked in the yard til 9pm last night! I am hungry most of the time, my eggs are running out of water on the stove and I hear them start cracking which is the only reason I saved them, Jack is .......... Logan is........... Tatum is............. I am................sitting in a Monday waiting for the week to speed forward so we can find our groove again!
Ok that felt good, now that that is out of the way, spinning out of my system like a tornado in Kansas, I feel better. Just writing some of these hetic feelings down makes me shift into another perspective and think entirely about something else. It's my own therapy I suppose, this blog of mine, this journal of journey. The journey that is full of all kinds of twists and turns...like Steinbeck says so wonderfully, "you don't take a trip, the trip takes you". I figure that's the best way to handle these Mondays that I can't get out of and that no matter what I have to say or do....COME ONCE A WEEK!
Now I am thinking of other things that are starting to lift my spirit. Going to TEXAS at the end of the week is one. Can't wait! We are renting our RV and hitting the road on Thursday. The kids are about to bust. Every last one of them this weekend said at least twice, "let's go to TX" Matt and I had to try and explain the days of the week and how it would take a little time to load up and actually get there. I swear we will be in the car for an hour and Logan will say, "are we there yet?"
And.......I am moving some things over from my home studio to my "away from home" studio. I can't wait to work there on early Saturday mornings! I may not get there til this fall, but I'm a comin'!
Some new pixs up top, can't wait for the road trip to get a whole new "perspective" on things.
Good day to all!

I am inspired. I see the the rain fall and I feel a bit settled. I think the heat is getting to me. The summer is hoovering over me like an alien ship in the night. I don't like it, but it's there. I want the air to cool down, if just a tad, just a breeze in the air. I want the sun to set an hour early and the night a little longer. I don't mean to give summer a "bad name", but really, it is my least favorite time of the year. At least let me say, it is the season I wish didn't last as long. I feel like it's been hear for as long as it takes a baby to grow, as long as a trip around the world, as long as repunzella's hair. I am ready for color in the trees and a quiet breath to the wind!
On another note, I am really getting into French music. It really puts me in a place I am glad to find myself at the end of the night. Red wine, vino, and my thoughts collectively growin as the kids wind down and the "summer" finds it's way to night.
I have been inspired to join my sister in her studio. I am now ready to find myself leaving the house and getting my own space as an artist. I am very excited and can't wait for the "quiet" mind trips!:) I hope I find something there that will last a life time!
Above are some new pixs...although the summer is beating me down, my "jones mo keeps clicking!" I don't know what I would do without him!
Good day to all.....

LEMONADE ANYONE

Long summer days
Long drifting nights
Down the river of emotion
Slowly moving side to side
Happy
Sad
Crying
Laughing
All these emotions
All within one day
One hour
Sometimes one minute
Kids
My kids
My three wonders
The ones I love
Oh it's true, I run and hide from you at times
I turn on my pink martini and I drink
I drink in the french sounds
That make me want to sway down the river
Willing to go find you again
Emotions and all
This time not so consumed with the sounds of crying and tears
But with the thought that one day this house will be quiet and I can do what ever I want all day long
I know, when I stop and take it all in
The river of emotion is beautiful
I realize in these small moments of despair of needing to run and hide
That the quiet day will come when I day dream of this river of emotion and wish we were doing our dance--swaying down the river with our pink martini and smiling at the life built out of all those tears
