I am going to start a "I hate Mondays" club!
Woke up to rain, which I love. Sat at the window and drank my coffee and watched fall for an hour, which I love and then..................this and that and that and this, the tv blasting the crying starts over which show is going to play for the 100th time, the phone rings, the ink pen leaks all over my hands, Boone is laying on Tatum's blanket, which IS NOT cool, all kids want food and drink at the exact time, I have to make some phone calls, the Wii remote doesn't want to work, (it's bran new!) the rain stopped and now everything is just wet, and I haven't showered and it looks like it caused I worked in the yard til 9pm last night! I am hungry most of the time, my eggs are running out of water on the stove and I hear them start cracking which is the only reason I saved them, Jack is .......... Logan is........... Tatum is............. I am................sitting in a Monday waiting for the week to speed forward so we can find our groove again!
Ok that felt good, now that that is out of the way, spinning out of my system like a tornado in Kansas, I feel better. Just writing some of these hetic feelings down makes me shift into another perspective and think entirely about something else. It's my own therapy I suppose, this blog of mine, this journal of journey. The journey that is full of all kinds of twists and turns...like Steinbeck says so wonderfully, "you don't take a trip, the trip takes you". I figure that's the best way to handle these Mondays that I can't get out of and that no matter what I have to say or do....COME ONCE A WEEK!
Now I am thinking of other things that are starting to lift my spirit. Going to TEXAS at the end of the week is one. Can't wait! We are renting our RV and hitting the road on Thursday. The kids are about to bust. Every last one of them this weekend said at least twice, "let's go to TX" Matt and I had to try and explain the days of the week and how it would take a little time to load up and actually get there. I swear we will be in the car for an hour and Logan will say, "are we there yet?"
And.......I am moving some things over from my home studio to my "away from home" studio. I can't wait to work there on early Saturday mornings! I may not get there til this fall, but I'm a comin'!
Some new pixs up top, can't wait for the road trip to get a whole new "perspective" on things.
Good day to all!
